LEKKER PASSPORT (MIDLANDS EDITION)
The Lekker Passport™ initiative creates themed travel passports both digital and printed designed to help travellers explore and celebrate the best of South Africa’s small towns and communities. Originating during lockdown to support local brewers through the Beer Passport™, the concept has since expanded to include the Coffee Passport™ and the flagship Lekker Passport™, featuring diverse local makers such as farm stalls, roasters, bakers, and artisans.
The digital version offers a dynamic, app-free experience where travellers can check in, earn rewards, and access up-to-date listings and campaigns. Meanwhile, the printed passport serves as a cherished keepsake, with stamps collected at each stop to commemorate real-world adventures.
Community Tourism Organisations (CTOs) are encouraged to get involved by ordering custom stamps, promoting local participation, and helping connect unique regional businesses to the platform. Passports are available via festivals, tourism offices, and online at lekkerpassport.com.
