Purpose of this application:
The UMEDA Midlands Film Office is providing participation support to assist a selected local filmmaking team to participate in the 48 Hour Film Project – Durban. The support is intended to cover the team’s project registration fee and enable local creatives to access practical, time-bound filmmaking experience.
About the initiative: The Durban 48 Hour Film Project challenges teams to write, shoot and edit a short film within 48 hours, based on a genre drawn at the kickoff and required creative elements assigned to the city. The 48-Hour Film Project is scheduled for 16–18 October 2026.
